How to book a car?

To make a reservation you can book it online through our easy to book system. Alternatively you can contact our reservation department on +37491 376060, send us an email with your request or just visit our downtown location.

What documents do I need to rent a car in Yerevan?

To rent a car in Yerevan/Armenia you should present a valid driving license for at least one year and a valid passport. The data in the driving license must be written in Latin letters.

International Driving License is required for the US citizens

How long does the paper work take when renting a car with TravelCar?

Basically when a reservation is done through www.travelcar.am web site, our reservation department always gets in touch with a customer requesting passport and driving license to provide an express service. When customers visit our location to rent their reserved vehicle all they need is to sign the contract, pay for it and take their drive.

For the customers who walk in our location, make their choice and want to rent, the paper work takes from 5 to 10 minutes.

If the reservation is done with pick up at the airport, our reservation department always tries to gather the sufficient information to get the Rental Agreement ready before the pickup time, if not, then it takes 5-10 minutes.

Do I have to pledge a deposit amount?

When renting a car there is always a deposit amount required.

This may vary depending the rented vehicle. Generally we block the sufficient sum on your credit card or request to leave it in cash.

When will you refund my money blocked on the card as a security deposit?

If there is no damage or loss identified according to the delivery / acceptance protocol the deposit amount will be returned to your bank account within 14 banking days.

What are the minimum age requirements?

The renter must be at least 21 years old and in a possession of a valid driving license for at least one year.

Do I need to make a prepayment when doing an online booking?

Right for the moment prepay on line system is not activated, hence there is no need for your credit card details. It will work soon and will not be a mandatory option. For those who plans their trip quite early prepaying online will give a chance to save on early bookings.

We build our relationship on trust. All we ask is to inform us about the cancelation 48 hours in advance so as somebody else can enjoy the drive in Armenia.

What are the acceptable payments mode?

All the major payments modes are acceptable for us (credit cards – Amex, Visa, Master Card, and Dinner’s Club), bank transfer and cash.

Is there any mileage restriction when renting with TravelCar?

Good news. You always have unlimited mileage included in the rates.

Do I have a chance to book an exact car model?

Reservations are accepted for the car groups only. Although we always try to meet our customers’ preferences, we cannot guarantee any exact model.  

Are there any extra services to make my rental more comfortable?

Of course yes. Our mission is to make your car rental more comfortable. To learn more on the additional services please follow the Additional Services

Any possibility to modify an already confirmed reservation?

www.travelcar.am web site gives you an opportunity to modify the existing reservation. Nevertheless if you face some difficulties you can always delegate this to us. Our reservation department will modify the reservation based on your request and send you a new confirmation number.

What to do when I got an accident?

May God forbid if you got an accident. Nevertheless if you happen to have, the first thing you should do is to contact us on the emergency numbers (provided to you with the Rental Agreement), inform the road police and the insurance company.

Our team will guide you through any process regarding the accident.

If the vehicle cannot be driven any more, you will have a replacement service.

What kind of insurance packages are available when renting a car with you?

To make your choice wider we offer you 3 type of insurance packages.

Can I rent a car in Armenia and drop it off in Georgia?

So called one way rentals from Armenia to Georgia and vice versa are possible with us. You should book this service at least 48 hours in advance.

Are there any extra charges for the delayed delivery?

Of course we realize that under some circumstances you may delay your rental delivery. Thus we give you a grace period of 1 hour during which no charge will be applied. At the same time we cannot deny the fact that this delay may cause another delay to another client. Hence we kindly ask you to organize the delivery in a timely manner. 

For the 2nd delayed hour additional fee of 5000 AMD will apply.

In case of delay for more than 2 hours one full day amount will be charged.

Do I have any restriction when driving outside of the country?

In terms of your rental agreement there is no restriction while driving through Armenia and Nagorno Kharabakh. A special permission is required for driving to Georgia which will be assigned upon your request with an additional fee according to TravelCar price list.

How is the delivery/acceptance procedure is handled?

A delivery/acceptance protocol is being signed after a car check up with the TravelCar representative. The car is always delivered to you clean and with full tank of gasoline.

At the moment of return a TravelCar representative checks the car according to the existing delivery/acceptance protocol. The vehicle must be returned in the same conditions taking into consideration its natural tear and wear.

What should I do in case if my flight delays?

Basically all the airport reservations should contain some flight details according to which we are booking and checking the arrival information, so if your flight is delayed you can rest your mind as our agents will be on the time of your arrival.

Can I return the car to different locations?

Of course yes. You have the flexibility of pickup and drop off service.

How can I find TravelCar agents at the airport?

The airport rentals are served by the Downtown Location. We provide only Meet and Greet service at the airport.

Our rental agent will meet you with a smile on their face and a special designed TravelCar sign.

What can I do if I see some warning lights on the screen?

Once you note any warning lights you should immediately contact our technical support team. You will get further instructions by the phone.
